Laser Engraving FAQ

Every job has a $7 minimum. Above the minimum, we charge per square inch based on the material. Wood, acrylic, and glass are $0.75 per square inch. Brass, anodized aluminum, and granite are $1.50 per square inch. Stainless steel and Cerakote metal marking are $3.00 per square inch.

Every engraving job costs at least $7 regardless of how small the engraved area is. This covers setup, file prep, and machine time. Above that floor, you pay the per-square-inch rate for the material you are engraving.

Yes. Pricing is based on the bounding box of the engraved area, not whether it is text or graphics. Text-only jobs are quoted the same way as art jobs.

Yes. Send us the artwork, quantity, and material and we will quote bulk runs the same day during business hours. Bulk pricing is custom-quoted because setup time scales differently depending on whether every piece is identical or each one is personalized.

Wood, acrylic, glass, brass, anodized aluminum, granite, stainless steel, and Cerakote-coated metal. If you have a material that is not listed, ask. We probably do it.

Yes. You can ship us your item, drop it off in Huntington by appointment, or bring it during business hours. We engrave it and ship or hand it back.

No, we do not sell unfinished blanks. We engrave items from our catalog of engravable products or items you supply.

Laser engraving does not add any chemicals to the surface. Engraved cutting boards and glassware are food-safe. We recommend hand-washing engraved barware to preserve the mark.

We prefer vector files (SVG, AI, PDF, EPS) for crisp edges. We also accept high-resolution PNG and JPG for raster art. For text-only engraving, you do not need to upload anything. Just type what you want engraved.

Only if you are sending a vector file with a non-standard font. If you are typing text into our quote form, we handle font selection. If you upload a vector file, convert text to outlines so the font travels with the file.

Yes. High-resolution photos can be engraved on wood, slate, anodized aluminum, and similar materials. Contrast and detail levels affect the result. We can preview before we engrave.

Lines under 0.5mm are difficult on wood and acrylic. On metals and glass, finer detail is possible. If you are unsure, send the art and we will tell you what will hold and what will not.

Simple jobs ship within a few business days. Larger jobs and bulk runs are quoted with a specific timeline. We confirm turnaround when we send the quote.

Yes. We are in Huntington, New York and accept local pickup by appointment. Drop off and pickup are both by appointment to avoid waits.

Yes. We ship via USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Shipping cost depends on weight and destination. Customer-supplied items can be returned the same way they were shipped to us.

Sometimes. Rush requests are reviewed case by case depending on production schedule. Call or email and we will tell you what we can do.

Yes. Corporate awards, employee recognition, retirement gifts, and bulk client gifts are a regular part of our work. Send the quantity, art, and target date and we will quote it.

Yes. We engrave Cerakote-coated receivers and bare metal firearm parts. Customer must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
